Modern Elementary School – Functional and Durable Flooring
The new Fran Albreht Elementary School in Kamnik is one of the largest and most modern educational facilities in Slovenia. The school, which opened its doors in 2024, covers more than 8,000 m² of floor space, with 32 classrooms and numerous common areas designed for modern teaching methods. The building is designed with plenty of natural light, open spaces, and accommodations for users with mobility impairments.
Various flooring solutions were used in the project, tailored to the specific purposes of each space and the high standards of a public facility. In classrooms and other interior spaces, Artisan Project Oak parquet was installed—brushed and finished with a matte varnish—giving the space a natural look and a pleasant sense of warmth.
For areas subject to heavier loads and intensive daily use, Norsig rubber flooring and Texpar textile flooring were selected. This combination of materials ensures high wear resistance, good acoustics, safety in use, and easy maintenance, which is particularly important in schools and other public buildings.
The Frana Albreht Elementary School in Kamnik project serves as an example of a thoughtful choice of flooring for educational institutions, where functionality and durability are combined.
